How do I creatively visualise?

Creative visualisation is best done at a time you know you won’t be disturbed for at least half an hour. Find somewhere quiet and warm where you can either sit or lie down. Now you need to relax. You can use the Muscle Tensing method to relax here.

The muscle tensing relaxation method is like a meditation. You become aware of your body and how it feels as you move through each set of muscles.

When your relax the body you also slow your brain waves. You need to do this because your subconscious mind is more prone to accepting information when the conscious mind is relaxed and unable to analyse or contradict what you are thinking. The brain wave levels you are trying to reach are anywhere between:

Alpha - Relaxed but alert, seven to thirteen pulses per second; and
Theta - First stage of sleep, drowsiness, four to seven, pulses per second.

Both these brain waves are experienced when daydreaming and all of us are able to daydream whether we realise it or not. The alpha brain wave is the wave level used in Hypnosis and Theta is used in Theta healing. There are articles on both subjects on this site.

Now for the best part!

Visualise or bring in the thoughts that create the images of the situation, object or experience of your desire as if already in your reality. Make it as real as you can. See it as precisely as you can. Bring in the emotions and feelings you will have as if it were already in your experience. Picture yourself being, doing and having that experience. Feel it, see it, experience it, as if it is already in the here and now!

Visualise and think the thoughts that make it as real for you as you can. Include all the things that would be there if you had it in your experience. Include friends, family, work colleagues. If it’s a job you’re going for, see yourself being congratulated by friends and family. See yourself reading the letter confirming you have the position and your reactions to it. If it’s a car, what colour is it? What model? What size of engine and interior does it have?

Once you have everything exactly as you want it to be in your head, think of it as often as you can. Think of it throughout the day. The more you think about it the more positive thoughts are created backed up with positive emotions and feelings. All this positive energy is being picked up by the Universe and it will start to send you little prompts, drawing you to what you have asked for. You have planted your seed, now you just have to keep nurturing and fertilising it with your positive energy and it will grow into the plant you want.

The last part and a very important one, is you have to believe, believe that what you have requested is already yours. Give thanks as if you already have it. You must not waver, you must not doubt, you must not falter from what you have asked for. You must have an unwavering belief that what you have asked for is already yours. Gratitude and an unwavering belief, acknowledges your faith in what you are doing and faith in the Universe to deliver what you have asked for.

Creative Visualisation

creative_visualisation_lrg_greenWhat is Creative Visualisation?

Creative visualisation is a practise of using your thoughts to deliberately create an experience or outcome as you want it to be. You create the desired outcome in your mind before it has actually occurred. It is a technique of using your imagination to create what you want in life.

Worry Sheets

Worry is the negative, anticipated potential of an outcome that hasn’t yet been experienced in the present.

When we worry we engage in a chain of thoughts and/or images of a negative and uncontrollable nature about something we have not yet experienced. We ‘imagine’ what the outcome will be.

Muscle Testing

muscle_testing_lrg_greenWhat is Muscle Testing ?

Muscle testing is a method we use to uncover hidden beliefs, feelings and emotions we hold about ourselves. As the response is coming from our Subconscious mind (inner child) which can’t lie muscle testing has proved to be a valuable tool to uncovering our beliefs, emotions and feelings which we would otherwise not know we have. Once uncovered, we can then change them to our advantage, allowing us to move our lives on the way we want.Read More

Why Gratitude? Because it helps you appreciate the positive things in your life.

There is always something to be grateful for even when things don’t seem to be going that well.Read More

affirmations_lrg_greenWhat are Affirmations?

Affirmations are positive statements made in the present tense designed to counteract a negative belief you currently hold. Affirmations support the changes you want to make in your life by directing ‘positive affirmed’ statements based on the area in your life you want to change. This is achieved by the repetition of these affirmation phrases. They can have profound effects as the changes start to take hold and break through your limiting thoughts and beliefs.Read More
